The Akwa Ibom State Budget Process Manual is an instrument developed to guide how the budget is formulated, approved, implemented, monitored and evaluated. The processes and explanations included in the Manual are meant to serve as a reference guide for all Stakeholders involved in the economic planning and public financial management in the State.
The Manual simplifies budgeting in Akwa Ibom State as it will guide State Political leadership, officials in MDAs and the public on their respective roles and responsibilities throughout the State’s budget cycle. It enables the Budget and Economic Planning to be linked with the Medium Term Expenditure Framework in the course of the Budget cycle.
