Education
Hon. Esin started his primary education at Equita Primary School, Oron, and later moved to Holy Trinity Primary School, Calabar, where he obtained his first school leaving certificate in 1982. He then proceeded to Methodist Boys High School, Oron, in 1983, and thereafter to Hope Waddel Training Institution, Calabar. He was selected to attend a special program at the School of Basic Studies, Akanmkpa, Cross River State, he obtained his WAEC in 1989 and in 1995, he gained admission into Polytechnic, Calabar, where he obtained an OND in Business Studies in 1997, then further obtained his HND degree in Business Administration from the same institution.
Career
Hon. Orman Esin joined the Creative Artist Management LLC USA as a country coordinator in 2006 and was appointed an associate director of the same company in 2007 . After serving as an associate director, he established his own company, Dar-ferom Nigeria Ltd., an event management and advertising firm that published one of the foremost event magazines in Akwa Ibom State (The Elite Magazine). While the company was in operation, he was called to serve as a special assistant to the then PDP Chairman Akwa Ibom State Chapter, ARC. Otu Ita Toyo, an office he held till 2009. In 2011, Hon. Orman Esin ventured into mainstream politics and was elected Executive Chairman of Oron Local Government in 2012, an office he held until 2015. In the july 2015, he was called back to serve as the Transition Chairman of Oron Local Government Area due to his outstanding performance and leadership prowess. At the end of his tenure as Chairman in july 2016, Hon. Orman Esin was appointed Honourable Commissioner for Transport and Petroleum Resources under the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration, an office he held until july 2019. While serving as commissioner for Transport, he was elected Chairman of the Forum of Transport Commissioners in Nigeria and was also decorated as Grand Commander Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) in Nigeria. Also, due to his commitment, capacity and passion for service, he was again re-appointed into the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council as Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, an office he held until May 2023.
Professional Membership
Hon. Esin has acquired several professional trainings including a professional training series program from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM). He is a member of the Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN). Hon. Orman Esin is a recipient of many awards, such as the Commonwealth Centre for Leadership Award for Best Performing Local Government Chairman 2013, The Cross River State Movie Awards for Excellence, l the WAI Brigade Nigeria Excellence Award, in recognition of his relentless contributions to the socio-economic upliftment of the youth and the less privileged. 2013, Recipient of the Akwa Ibom Hall of Fame Award 2021, Abuja Jabamah Best Performing Commissioner for Tourism in Nigeria Award 2021, and Akwa Ibom Medal of Service Award 2021. He is the proginator of Ibom Christmas Celebration which started in the year 2019.
